Jeff Pollei has been named the Director of Utilities & Energy Management for the FP&M Physical Plant, where he will be responsible for managing the heating and cooling plants and the utilities provided by FP&M to campus customers and select external entities. He began serving in this role on March 13, 2017.
“We are excited to have Jeff rejoin the department in this leadership position, as he brings with him an extensive knowledge of not only utilities and energy, but of the UW System and how to make things happen at the university.”
Prior to rejoining FP&M, Pollei was the Director of Utilities at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Pollei served as a campus utilities engineer for the FP&M Physical Plant from 2009 to 2016. Before coming to the university, he led the Energy & Utilities market segment for the Madison office of Affiliated Engineers, Inc. Pollei holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UW-Madison.
“I am honored to be selected as the director for the utilities and energy management section of the Physical Plant and look forward to reconnecting with the Physical Plant staff and working with the campus community to more effectively manage and allocate thermal and electric utilities for the university,” says Pollei.
