What kinds of questions are included?
The questionnaire is divided into four sections:
- Demographics & Engagement

Who is Gordian?
Gordian is a leading provider of facility and construction insights, maintaining a comprehensive nationwide database that allows higher-ed institutions like ours to benchmark annual stewardship, asset reinvestment, operational effectiveness and service quality against peer universities.
Why should building managers/FLAC members take this survey?
As a building manager or FLAC member, no one understands the day-to-day realities of our facilities better than you. While high-level data tells part of the story, your perspective reveals what is actually happening in our buildings, grounds and service operations.
By taking a few minutes to share your input, you ensure FP&M leadership understands where services are excelling and where operational shifts may be needed. Your feedback can shape our strategic priorities, help us secure the right resources and make targeted improvements that make managing your spaces easier.
How does FP&M use the data collected from the questionnaire?
The questionnaire data will serve as a practical guide for FP&M leadership. By comparing our operational strengths and service gaps against national peer benchmarks, leadership can make more informed, data-driven decisions.
Will I get to see a summary of the feedback that was gathered?
FP&M will evaluate the findings to determine how key highlights, trends, and actionable insights can best be shared with facility leaders in the future.
Is the questionnaire anonymous?
Yes, the questionnaire is completely anonymous by default. Providing your name and email address on the final page is strictly optional.
Why is every question required?
Requiring an answer for each question ensures complete data collection for accurate benchmarking. Some questions allow an N/A answer if they are not applicable to everyone.
How long will the questionnaire take?
It’s an in-depth review that takes about 10-20 minutes.
Can I stop the questionnaire and come back to it?
It is recommended that you complete the entire questionnaire in one sitting to avoid losing your progress.
Is there a deadline to complete the survey?
The questionnaire link will be active through Friday, Oct. 30, 2026.
